Whitley Bay Judo Club Training Session
   
 
Monday night is split into three separate groups:
 

Samurai Section
Age 4yrs to under 8yrs coached by Jax and Kath with a mixture of judo and games this is a fun session to help children gain good hand to eye co-ordination and confidence.

 

Intermediate Section
age 8yrs to under 18yrs coached by Margaret this group is made up mainly of new beginners and players not quite ready for competition focusing on skill and technique in a fun environment.

 

High Performance Section
this group is made up of players aged between 8yrs and under 18yrs who are competitive players focusing on competition skills and techniques, this group has over the years produced many players who have gone on to represent their country at international level coached by myself Duncan Stewart Head Coach of the club.

 
 
Tuesday Night
This is now a senior session focusing on skill and techniques with a view to producing competition players
 
 

Wednesday Night
This session is split in to two groups as follows: 

Samurais
aged as above from 6.15pm till 7.15pm

Intermediate/high performance
6.30pm till 8.00pm

 
 
Friday Night
This is a mixed group as Monday evening but is mainly a fitness/ randori session

The Parks Leisure Centre operates an Ease card scheme giving discounts and I would ask you to contact them on 0191 200 6364 for more information

Tyne Youth Centre mat fees are £2.00 per session

Membership
Samurais £15.00 per year for under 8s
BJA membership Junior see BJA web site

A range of club kit is available to purchase such as club hoodies, T shirts and kit bags all bearing the club badge (pictures below)

On arrival at your first session you will be given a welcome pack which contains everything you need to know including the club rules, membership forms etc which you will need to complete and return to the club.
